Mechanical components, moulds and pre-series

We specialise in the production and sourcing processes of technical plastic and metal components. We provide you with product development and ramp-up phase proto- and pre-series at an unbeatable quality and cost. Our operations focus on the production of tools for the manufacture of mechanical components, such as injection and compression moulds, and the production of products throughout their entire life cycle from proto and pre-series to serial
production and the supply of spare parts. Our customers get the optimal benefit when we also provide them with our sub-assembly service.

Gelecta’s supply chain is supported by our own Sourcing Manager in China, responsible for supplier collaboration, production follow-up, and local quality assurance. This enables direct communication with manufacturers, fast response during production, and confidence that agreed requirements are met in practice.

We have refined our supply chain to be highly efficient, ensuring that the journey from concept to finished product is as fast, cost-effective, and reliable as possible. Years of experience working with partners in Guangdong Province, combined with deep expertise in the design and manufacturing of mechanical components, form the foundation of our strong supply chain.

Our audited supplier network has been carefully selected from over 200 evaluated companies. Key criteria in partner selection include excellent communication capability and responsiveness, reliability and delivery performance, advanced manufacturing technologies and efficiency, and high quality at a competitive cost level. Many of our manufacturing partners have worked with us continuously for more than ten years.

Our partners in Asia are located in Hong Kong and in Guangdong Province, China—primarily in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, and Zhongshan.

Gelecta’s new VTA service (Virtual Trial Application) enables customers to monitor and control injection mold trials in real time – directly through a web browser, without travel or delays. Through a secure virtual connection, the customer can view live video and measurement data, give feedback, make adjustment requests, and approve results instantly. This digital approach saves time, reduces costs, accelerates time-to-market and enhances sustainability

VTA makes mold testing and approval truly virtual – efficient, transparent, and easily accessible for the entire supply chain.

Our experience gained over years and numerous completed projects has refined our processes into a seamless whole. At the same time, we do not rely on established practices alone—we continuously develop and improve our operations to serve our customers better every day.

A smooth process, combined with Gelecta’s expertise and experience, also enables cost optimization across multiple stages. Our experience in logistics services is a key factor in ensuring successful project execution.

Our contact persons in Europe and Asia are easily accessible. Our quotation-to-delivery process is extremely fast and reliable—and flexible when needed.

PLASTIC PRODUCTS AND MOULDS

Visually demanding technical plastic products and moulds with fast delivery and at a competitive
price.

PRECISION ENGINEERING OF METALS

Die-cast and precision machined, coated metal and light metal products and MIM (metal injection moulding) components.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND RAMP-UP PHASE PRE-SERIES

The vacuum casting method produces plastic products that are extremely close to injection
moulded products, with significantly faster delivery times. Quotes are provided in a matter of hours or no later than the next day! We deliver the finished product series to the customer in 1.5–2.5 weeks from receiving the order.

We offer a variety of PU-based materials with good mechanical durability, precision and excellent visual quality which also enables the use of these components in devices produced for sale. Products can be finished with a coating in the chosen colour, prints or the installation of inserts or other components.

Manufacturing methods: CNC machining, vacuum casting into silicon moulds, RIM or injection
moulding using affordable steel moulds (rapid tooling) designed for small series (500–20,000 pcs). There are generally no restrictions to the geometry of the products.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

We work together with well-known Finnish design agencies. The mechanical design of products
can also be done in cooperation with our suppliers’ own product development departments.

ASSEMBLIES AND PRODUCT PACKAGES

Best value for the customer is achieved when the products are completed in their final form and
retail packed.

OTHER COMPONENTS AND PRODUCT GROUPS

We make use of our extensive networks and find the high-quality products and suppliers that meet the needs of our customers. For example, we supply demanding, customised cable assemblies, user interface components and other components for industries.

LOGISTICS AND CONSULTATION SERVICES

We will take care of logistics for you. Our quotes always include forwarding and freight costs. We mainly use a combination of air, rail and road freight. We work in cooperation with a network of international logistics companies and always choose the option that best suits the timetable and budget of the project.

Our extensive network of experts and suppliers also helps us to provide consultation, auditing and sourcing services.

There is no point in doing everything yourself

We take care of the mechanical components manufacturing and logistics process while supporting our customers in any way we can. With our help, our customers can launch their products on the market faster than their competitors.

Our operations are always transparent, and we keep the customer posted on what is going on with the process. If they want, we can arrange for our customers to visit our manufacturing partners, carry out any necessary audits or directly contact our partner experts concerning technical queries.

Vacuum Casting for Rapid Prototype Manufacturing

Vacuum casting is a cost-effective manufacturing process used to create high-quality prototype parts and short production runs with excellent surface finishes and material flexibility. The process uses silicone molds and vacuum pressure to replicate detailed components accurately, making it ideal for product development, functional testing, and pre-production validation. Vacuum casting is widely used in automotive, medical, aerospace, and consumer electronics industries because it delivers fast turnaround times while maintaining precision and consistency.

Low Volume Production for Flexible Manufacturing

Low volume production enables businesses to manufacture small batches of parts without the high tooling costs associated with mass production. This manufacturing approach is perfect for startups, product launches, market testing, and customized products where flexibility and speed are critical. By combining advanced manufacturing technologies such as CNC machining, vacuum casting, and rapid tooling, low volume production helps companies reduce risk, shorten lead times, and bring products to market faster while maintaining high-quality standards.

Injection Molding for High-Precision Plastic Parts

Injection molding is one of the most efficient and scalable manufacturing methods for producing durable plastic components with tight tolerances and repeatable quality. The process involves injecting molten plastic into precision-engineered molds to create complex shapes in high volumes. Injection molding is commonly used across industries including automotive, packaging, medical devices, and consumer products due to its ability to deliver cost-effective production, excellent material performance, and consistent part accuracy at scale.

Sintering for Advanced Material Manufacturing

Sintering is a specialized manufacturing process that uses heat and pressure to bond powdered materials into solid components without fully melting them. This technique is widely used in powder metallurgy, ceramics, and additive manufacturing to produce strong, durable, and complex parts with minimal material waste. Sintering is especially valuable in industries such as aerospace, medical implants, and industrial engineering where high-performance materials, precision, and structural integrity are essential.
