Gelecta Finland Oy is a manufacturing and sourcing partner for demanding plastic and metal components. Founded in 2009, we support European high-tech and industrial companies from prototypes and design-for-manufacturing to tooling, finished components and serial production.
Our role goes beyond finding a supplier. We help customers evaluate manufacturing technologies, develop production-ready solutions and identify the right manufacturing partner based on the product requirements, expected volumes and commercial objectives.
Throughout the project, Gelecta acts as a single point of contact and coordinates technical communication, production follow-up, quality assurance and logistics.

A managed supply chain from enquiry to delivery
Our supply chain is supported by our own Sourcing Manager in China, responsible for supplier collaboration, production follow-up and local quality assurance. This enables direct communication with manufacturers, fast responses during production and confidence that agreed requirements are met in practice.
Every supplier used for customer production is audited before approval. Our supplier network has been carefully selected from more than 200 evaluated companies based on technical capabilities, communication, responsiveness, quality performance, delivery reliability and commercial competitiveness.
Many of our manufacturing partners have worked with us continuously for more than ten years. These long-term relationships support efficient cooperation, reliable production and a fast quotation process.
Reducing risk and extending your resources
Gelecta acts as an additional resource throughout product development, sourcing and manufacturing. We support product designers and project teams in evaluating manufacturing technologies, coordinating design-for-manufacturing reviews and managing the transition from prototypes to serial production.
By managing supplier selection, technical communication, production follow-up, quality assurance and international logistics, we help reduce the technical, commercial and supply chain risks associated with bringing a product into production.
At the same time, we reduce the workload placed on the customer’s own organisation, allowing internal teams to focus on product development, customer needs and their core business.
A well-selected manufacturing solution can reduce total costs, improve product quality and shorten the route from design to market. Our aim is to create a reliable and competitive production model that supports both the immediate project and the product’s longer-term development.
Flexible manufacturing without unnecessary restrictions
We help customers select a manufacturing route that supports both the current stage of the product and its future production volumes.
Depending on the project, Gelecta can manage tooling and serial production through our audited manufacturing network or supply a completed mould for production by the customer or a manufacturing partner in Europe. Regardless of the operating model, the mould remains the property of the customer.
Our services cover prototypes, low-volume manufacturing, moulds and tooling, plastic and metal component production, product finishing, assemblies and international logistics.
More than component sourcing
Mechanical components are often delivered with the secondary operations required for their intended use. These may include inserts, painting, coatings, printing, laser marking, assembly and customer-specific packaging.
By coordinating manufacturing, finishing and logistics through one managed supply chain, we can deliver components closer to their final form. This reduces the customer’s need to manage multiple suppliers, separate finishing operations and additional production stages.
